The Essential Facts of Backgammon Game Plans – Part One
Saturday, 3. May 2025
The objective of a Backgammon match is to shift your chips around the Backgammon board and bear them off the game board faster than your challenger who works just as hard to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game in Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. How far you will be able to move your chips is left to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and the way you move your checkers are decided on by your overall gambling plans. Players use differing techniques in the different parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Plan
The goal of the Running Game plan is to entice all your chips into your home board and pull them off as quickly as you can. This tactic focuses on the pace of advancing your chips with little or no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s checkers. The best time to use this strategy is when you believe you can shift your own pieces quicker than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The primary goal of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to block the competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your chips rapidly. Once you’ve established the blockage for your competitor’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other chips rapidly from the board. The player will need to also have a good plan when to back off and shift the chips that you used for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when the opposition utilizes the same blocking strategy.
