The goal of a Backgammon game is to move your chips around the game board and pull those pieces from the board faster than your challenger who works just as hard to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. Just how far you will be able to shift your checkers is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and the way you shift your chips are determined by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use a number of techniques in the different parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Plan

The aim of the Running Game strategy is to lure all your checkers into your home board and bear them off as quickly as you could. This plan concentrates on the pace of shifting your chips with little or no efforts to hit or barricade your competitor’s pieces. The ideal time to employ this tactic is when you believe you might be able to shift your own chips faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your opponent’s pieces; or 3) your opposing player does not employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Tactic

The main aim of the blocking strategy, by its title, is to stop your competitor’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your pieces quickly. As soon as you have established the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other pieces swiftly off the game board. The player will need to also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and shift the chips that you used for blocking. The game becomes interesting when the opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
