The Running Game Tactic

The aim of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your inside board and bear them off as quickly as you can. This strategy concentrates on the speed of moving your checkers with absolutely no efforts to hit or barricade your opponent’s checkers. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you think you can shift your own pieces faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The primary goal of the blocking plan, by the title, is to stop the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not fretting about moving your checkers rapidly. After you have created the barrier for your opponent’s movement with a few checkers, you can move your other checkers swiftly from the board. The player should also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and move the checkers that you utilized for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
