Backgammon is the original game in recorded history. It has been called as the "little war," backgammon began in Mesopotamia (now called Iraq) over 5 millennia ago. For all that, Egyptians called backgammon "Senat," which was a close form of the present game enjoyed right now. Hundreds of years ago, just men and women of influence, the ruling figures of aristocracy like Egyptian pharaohs, were allowed to play. The game started to expand worldwide since then. Many different Backgammon versions have been developed in various nations and civilizations, but the basic rules of those versions resemble that of the ancient form . For instance, Greece grabbed a hold of the game and coined the name "bac gamen." From there, the Anglo’s started playing backgammon in the seventeenth century and have continued to play it ever since. Backgammon and other ancient games were never acknowledged by a lot of clergy. The churches believe that the game was the tool of Beelzebub. This caused clergy to blacklist and burn the game. The abolishment and burning had never prevent individuals betting on games and being entertained.
Technology gives a new arena for Backgammon.
